Untitled Abstraction (c.1945)

Oil on masonite, 12 x 16 inches, signed and dated "Mel Price/NYC 1955" verso in artist's hand. According to Tom McCormick, working with the artist's estate and family, this work is stylistically closer to the 1945 work by Price and may have been signed and dated at a later point by the artist, inadvertently writing "1955" instead of "1945".
