Oil and pigmented varnish on canvas, 36" x 30" Signed lower right: "I. Rice Pereira". Provenance: The estate of Foy Casper. Foy Casper, a close personal friend of Pereira's, was a member of the Irene Rice Pereira Foundation. This work is quite possibly #650 from Herrick Jackson's unpublished catalogue raisonne of the artist's work. #650 is titled "Two Triangles, 1940" and was exhibited at the Arts Club in Chicago for a one-man Pereira show in 1945. The size of "Two Triangles" is an identical 36" x 30" and is listed as whereabouts unknown.
